The Master’s in Data Science Degree consists of 36 credit hours spanning four semesters. The curriculum was developed exclusively for the Master’s program and offers a blend of interdisciplinary theory and practical application of skills. Mastery of the material covered in each semester is crucial for the successful completion of the Master’s in Data Science Degree. To that end, students will be required to maintain a 3.0 GPA over the course of the program.
In the first three semesters, students will take 11 required core courses; four courses in the first semester; four courses in the second semester; and three courses in the third semester, each worth three graduate credit hours. In the fourth and final semester, students will implement their skills and obtain industry experience with a paid practicum working as part of a data science team at one of our corporate partners. The practicum course will be completed under Data Science faculty supervision and is a required component of the program.
