Professor Salu continues at New College in ’26-’27 as Interim Program Director of Applied Data Science and Presidential Scholar in Residence, having previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Data Science. He is a founder, architect, and technology instructor with more than twenty-five years in the software industry, spanning enterprise software, SaaS, and cloud technologies. He spent fourteen years at Charles River Development, the institutional trading and portfolio management platform used by many of the world’s largest asset managers, which was acquired by State Street Corporation. Earlier in his career, he held senior client technology and solutions roles at IBM and various startups. His current work focuses on organizational technology adoption, AI integration, and the development of cryptographic tools, with advisory engagements supporting Fortune 500 asset management firms. At New College, Professor Salu teaches across Computer Science and Data Science. He holds an MBA and a BS in Computer Science.
