At New College, you’ll find many opportunities to feed the parts of you that need rejuvenation, calm and safety.
Somewhere between the rigor of academic life and the vigor of sweat-producing sport lies the arena of mind, body and spirit.
Yoga is very popular on campus. Classes are offered at the Fitness Center, but we also gather on the Bayfront or a nearby world-class beach, where you can catch a serene sunset.
You can also experiment with sound and movement through New Music New College, which offers students a chance to create and perform at least once a year for its contemporary music series. If you really love to move your vocal chords, join the New College Chorus, which also gives public concerts, and the Acapellago singing ensemble.
Outside of the classroom, there are many opportunities to expand your mind that don’t require anything except to show up. New Topics New College and an Archaeology Series are two examples of College-sponsored lecture/discussion series that are free to all students.
Whether you want to get in shape, relieve stress or just socialize with your friends, the Fitness Center can help you meet your personal goals.Read more here
