About ORPS

Lee Ann Rodríguez provides proactive support to New College faculty and staff, keeping track of faculty and staff interests and notifying them of possible sources for funding, and providing grant writing training.  She plans, organizes, and directs the development and implementation of research programs and services, and implements appropriate college-wide policies and procedures relating to this specific area. Lee Ann strengthens the culture of grant writing at the college, helping senior faculty share grant writing experience with junior faculty, and communicating grant achievements. She also collaborates with the New College Foundation to increase funds for faculty and staff research from foundations and corporations.

Lee Ann received her Doctorate of Business Administration at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. At the State University of Puerto Rico she earned three degrees – a Master’s in Business Administration, a Master’s in Translation and a Bachelor’s in Modern Languages.

Lee Ann has 15 years of experience of combined research administration and development at public and private universities, non-profit organizations and state agencies. She is an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
