Bio

Jose Moscoso Nunez is a biologist whose research integrates molecular ecology, genomics, and marine biology to investigate how organisms interact with their environment. His work focuses on using DNA sequencing and microbiome analyses to understand ecological and evolutionary processes in marine systems, with particular interests in host–microbe interactions, environmental stressors, and the responses of marine invertebrates to changing environmental conditions. In addition to his research, he is committed to undergraduate education, hands-on research training, and community engagement through outreach programs that connect students and educators with modern biological sciences.
