New College of Florida is a public liberal arts honors college that serves 800 full-time undergraduate students. The campus is located on Sarasota Bay, roughly 50 miles south of Tampa/St. Petersburg.
The College’s academic program is designed for active learning and close collaboration between students. and faculty. Faculty advise and instruct students in the development of foundational background and disciplined research methods, preparing them to produce original results in their field of study through the senior thesis project. New College is strictly undergraduate, however, the majority of alums go on to attend graduate or professional school.
