Don't let our size fool you. There's plenty going on here.
There is something here for everyone. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, you have the power and the freedom to make it happen. New College students say one of the things they like best about campus life is their ability to shape the College's atmosphere through their own initiative.
To get an idea of the range of possibilities, take a look at the student clubs/groups. We have clubs for everything from circus arts and ping pong to anime and a cappella singing. There’s even a club dedicated to yelling.
We're active, too, and occasionally competitive. Fencing, flag football, dodgeball, women’s soccer, racquetball, sailing and scuba diving are just some of the student-run athletic groups on campus.
Staying fit is important to us, so we hit the gym to take classes in yoga, pilates, zumba and Jiu-Jitsu at the Fitness Center. If dance is your thing, express yourself by taking Fuzion Dance and participating in Dance Tutorials.
After a hard day’s work, we like to head down to the bayfront to watch the sunset. You can find us meeting friends at the Four Winds Café for coffee and conversation, listening to live music on Z Green, or relaxing at one of the many campus hangouts.
Mission: The division of Student Affairs works to enhance the liberal arts experience at New College while supporting the development of the whole student, as individuals and as members of a safe, respectful environment, in which they strive for continued growth.
