Wet Ink Ensemble gives musical voice to women in literature

The contemporary music ensemble closes the season for New Music New College series

Women from history, myth and literature make appearances in Kate Soper’s “Voices From the Killing Jar,” which will be presented by Soper and six other members of the new music ensemble Wet Ink as the final concert in this season’s New Music New College series.
The work has eight movements from the points of view of such diverse women as Clytemnestra, Shakespeare’s Lady Macduff, Fitzgerald’s Daisy Buchanan, May Kasahara from Haruki Murakami’s “Wind Up Bird Chronicle,” and Flaubert’s Emma Bovary.
