New Music New College Presents Crossroads 3, A Musical Intersection, March 4

On Friday, March 4 at 8 pm, New Music New College will present Crossroads 3 at the PepsiCo Arcade at the Caples Fine Arts Complex, 5313 Bay Shore Road.  Crossroads brings musicians of different backgrounds together to make artistic connections and explore new possibilities, yielding rock that is focused in structure and classical music that is charged with energy and power. This year’s edition of Crossroads will again feature intrepid musicians from the Sarasota Orchestra, including Principal Tubist Jay Hunsberger and Principal Double Bassist John Miller, who will mix it up with Physical Plant and other New College rock bands. Electro-acoustic compositions by New College students will spice up the stew, as will contributions by NMNC Director Stephen Miles and Technical Producer R. L. Silver.
