Designed and directed by Leymis Bolaños Wilmott (New College dance instructor and artist-in-residence), Dance/Art CoLab and Performance is an interdisciplinary celebration of visual art, music and movement. There will be guided improvisation exercises that incorporate the work of Sarasota visual artist Grace Howl, as well as student-arranged movement ideas that have been translated into choreography (with accompanying music by New College alumna and pianist Zulfiia Tursunova). New College students will perform at 4:30, 5:15 and 6 p.m. Fri. March 13 at Grace Howl Contemporary Art, 419 Central Ave., Sarasota, 941-539-5302. The event is free but reservations are preferred.
