Sarasota County Emergency Medical Services and the Sarasota Police Department responded to a call on campus at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, and found a registered guest deceased at the scene.
The Sarasota Police Department has officially identified the guest as Dylan Besser, a 21-year-old University of Central Florida student from Boca Raton, Fla. Police had delayed issuing the statement until they could contact the family.
The University of Central Florida will be issuing an independent statement.
The Sarasota Police Department has also stated that there were no serious injuries noted or observed, no foul play suspected, and that its investigation is ongoing.
