Bio
Frederick (Fred) Pirone, Ph.D./J.D./M.B.A., is Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Social Sciences Division at New College of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of South Florida, his J.D. and M.B.A. from American University (Washington College of Law and Kogod School of Business), and his B.A. from the University of South Florida. He has a background in law and specializes in archaeological sciences, public education and outreach, digital humanities, and cultural property law. He has traveled to over 100 countries and brings interdisciplinary expertise to anthropology teaching and student research. He joined New College as part of the 2024 new faculty cohort.
