Bio
Devang Khambhati, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry in the Natural Sciences Division at New College of Florida. He received his Ph.D. in Organic/Polymer Chemistry from Oklahoma State University and his M.S. in Organic Chemistry from V.N. South Gujarat University. Most recently, he served as an Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M International University, where he taught Survey of Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Medicinal Chemistry. He also carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Wyoming/Western Research Institute, exploring coal and asphalt chemistry. His research interests include developing new green synthetic routes to build small organic molecules/oligomers/polymers using mechanochemistry and developing advanced materials to improve the quality and longevity of asphalt pavements.
