to participate in the Summer Scholars Program, an exclusive initiative
designed to foster excellence in five dynamic fields: Creative Writing,
Marine Biology, Civics, Chamber Music Orchestra, and Artificial Intelligence.

All 9-12th grade High school students who have submitted an application to any one of our programs.

Free to apply and all camps are complimentary to those invited.
The Opportunities Awaiting You:
- Immersive Summer Camps: All selected participants will experience an all-expenses-paid, week-long summer camp in their field, where they’ll engage in hands-on learning and collaborate with experts.
- Scholarships to New College: High achievers in each program will be eligible for all scholarships to New College, one of the most prestigious liberal arts colleges in the nation.
- Publication & Recognition: Winning and finalist works will be published and selected participants will gain valuable experience and recognition in their field.
Current Curricula
Creative Writing Program
Whether you’re a poet, a fiction writer, or a creative nonfiction author, the Creative Writing Program provides an opportunity to present your original work.
Attend a Creative Writing Workshop at New College, where you will enhance your craft through expert-led discussions and writing exercises.
This experience culminates with the chance to have your work published and the potential for a merit-based scholarship to New College.
Marine Bio Program
If marine science is your passion, the Marine Biology Program allows you to address an environmental issue affecting any of America’s waterways and estuaries.
You will be invited to a week-long summer camp at the New College Marine Biology Research Center, where they will collaborate on solutions to real-world environmental challenges. High achievers will also qualify for scholarships to attend New College.
Civics Writing Program
To celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary the Civics Writing Program invites students to reflect on the nation’s founding documents and their continued significance today.
High Achievers will participate in an exclusive Civics Workshop at New College, deepening their understanding of constitutional law and governance. Exceptional entries could lead to scholarship opportunities at New College.
Artificial Intelligence Program
If artificial intelligence sparks your curiosity, the AI program offers you the chance to explore the role of AI in shaping the world around us. Elite participants will have the opportunity to dive into an exclusive AI Program at New College, where they will explore cutting-edge AI tools like machine learning,
generative AI, and prompt engineering.
Throughout the program, students will discover how major platforms like Meta and Netflix use AI to recommend content and personalize user experiences. Participants will also examine everyday applications of AI, such as spam filters and chatbots, highlighting its presence in daily life. The program
will make AI both engaging and relatable, ensuring students grasp the technology’s impact in a fun and interactive way.
Chamber Orchestra Program
If music is your calling, the Music Performance Program invites you to showcase your talent and
refine your skills. Top performers will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive
Chamber Orchestra Program at New College, where they will enhance their musical expertise
and deepen their understanding of classical music.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in intense, collaborative rehearsals, working
with peers multiple times a day on iconic classical repertoire. Exceptional performers will also
have the chance to explore opera scenes, making it a central part of their musical journey.
Outstanding contributions could lead to further opportunities for advancement in the program and beyond.
