Bio

David Brain is the Director of the Urban Studies program and a Professor of Sociology at New College of Florida. He holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and specializes in architecture, urbanism, and community-building. Most recently, he led the academic focus for the New College Challenge, exploring models for coastal resilience.
