U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Colleges 2017” edition ranked New College as the No. 5 public liberal arts college in the nation. It marks the 12th consecutive year New College has been listed in the top six public liberal arts colleges nationwide. The magazine also ranked New College 7th nationwide for “Least Debt” among all liberal arts colleges. In August, The Princeton Review named New College as among the top 15 percent of all U.S. colleges and universities in its guidebook, The Best 381 Colleges. Also this month, New College was ranked 20th among all liberal arts colleges in the United States—and first among public liberal arts colleges—in the new Washington Monthly “2016 College Rankings” issue.
