Graduating students and their families gathered in College Hall during this year’s President’s Graduation Reception on May 16.
President Donal O’Shea hosts the pre-commencement event to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s graduating class.
“It’s a time in which they can relax with their families and the president,” said O’Shea’s executive assistant, Shelley Wilbur. “We want to honor them after all their hard work.”
Faculty members were also there to congratulate their students.
“I’m super proud of the students that I got to interact with, especially those who I was able to serve as a reader during their baccalaureate exams,” said Diego Villada, assistant professor of theater and performance studies.
“They are really exemplary, curious and want to make changes. They are compassionate people who asked the right questions in order to get an understanding of things. I would create work with them any day.”
