New College Trots its Way to 25-0 “Turkey Bowl” Win over Rival Ringling College

(November 18, 2010) — New College’s flag football team proved that a bunch of art students are no match for the mighty NCF juggernaut this past weekend, as the Null Set crushed neighboring Ringling College of Art and Design 25-0 in the annual Turkey Bowl.

“I would call that an official STOMPING,” said Director of Campus Recreation Colin Jordan, who helped organize the game, which is now in its second year.

Quarterback Michael Dexter said that as a reward for their victory the New College team now lays claim to the coveted Turkey Bowl Trophy, which he hopes to have placed in the Trophy Case at Ham Center.

Members of this year’s New College team are Eric Bolme, Michael Dexter, Juan Elias, James Eveland, Mike Gonzalez, Neal Hargis, Xavier Keough, Mike Long, Justin Spengler, Zac Totta, Mike Waas and Brian Werner.
