Due to the tropical weather system impacting the Tampa Bay region, New College of Florida will close and classes will be cancelled at noon on Thursday, September 1. This is in accordance with Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s decision this morning to close all state offices in 51 counties, including Sarasota and Manatee.  Faculty, students and staff are urged to use caution when traveling.
Essential personnel should remain on campus. Employees who are unsure if they have been designated as essential personnel should check with their supervisor as soon as possible. Residential student support services, including food service, will continue as normal.
As of now, the College and facilities are expected to be open and classes will resume on Friday, September 2.  An additional announcement will be made if any closures are planned.

Please continue to monitor updates at:

Additionally, if necessary, imminent warnings will be announced over the NCFSafe notification system.
