Moviegoers in theaters nationwide this weekend will see a man with Sarasota ties portrayed onscreen by one of the Avengers.
Mark Ruffalo plays attorney and New College of Florida alum Rob Bilott in Todd Haynes’ drama “Dark Waters,” which comes out in wide release Friday. Ruffalo, known for his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk in the Marvel movies and his Oscar-nominated turns in films like “Spotlight,” co-stars alongside Anne Hathaway as Bilott’s wife and Tim Robbins as a law partner.
