Four college students (two from NCF) attend National Conference of College Women Student Leaders
The Sarasota Branch of the AAUW (American Association of University Women) provided funds to send four students to attend the National Conference of College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL) held May 29 through June 1 at the University of Maryland, College Park.
NCCWSL was born in 1983, when representatives from national gender equity organizations saw the need for a leadership space dedicated to empowering collegiate women. Since then AAUW has taken the helm of the conference and NCCWSL has transformed into an essential experience for any woman serious about creating meaningful impact on her campus, mobilizing her community, and preparing for personal and professional success after graduation.
The four students were:
Kayla Collins and Sabrina Weaver of the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and Cassandra Azeredo-Tseng and Bianca Jean Philippe of New College of Florida
