There have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) on our campus. As we close out this school year, we also turn our attention to the fall semester.
While we were unable to celebrate commencement last week, as it was originally scheduled, I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to return to campus for an in-person ceremony on the bayfront at sunset on Sat. Dec. 5. Please be sure to visit the Commencement web page where we are honoring the Class of 2020.
As we close out this school year, we also turn our attention to the fall semester. We’ve been participating in the deliberations about campus reopenings with the Board of Governors (BOG) and the other schools in the State University System (SUS) of Florida.
While many variables are still in flux, our primary concern is the safety of our students, faculty and staff. Please read the message from BOG Chair Syd Kitson that provides an update on the SUS taskforce to reopen the state’s universities.
Please remain vigilant about social distancing and frequent hand washing.
