Congressmen Buchanan and Mica to Discuss the Region’s Transportation Needs at New College on Tuesday, March 9

Congressmen Vern Buchanan (FL-13) and John Mica (FL-7), vice chair for the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, will host a meeting at New College’s Harry Sudakoff Conference Center on Tuesday, March 9, at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the region’s transportation needs. All members of the New College community, as well as the general public, are invited to attend.
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure sets national policy and funding levels for highways, airports, transit, rail, water resources – including beach replenishment, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Coast Guard.

The Harry Sudakoff Conference Center at New College of Florida is located at 5845 General Dougher Place in Sarasota. To get there, turn east on General Spaatz Boulevard — the first light north of University Parkway — and follow signs to the event. Parking for the facility is located on both sides of General Spaatz Boulevard.
