Archer Daniel Schell is on target
New College wishes second-year student Daniel Schell great aim as he heads to Louisville, Kentucky, on March 19, to compete in the 2020 USA Archery Collegiate Indoor Nationals Final. Schell was selected to be in the “barebow men” group along with seven other competitors for this invitational event (which features the highest-scoring student athletes). The top eight archers in each category will go head-to-head in elimination matches for more than $70,000 in prize money.A third-time member of the United States Archery Team as a male junior barebow, Schell has been competing since he was 15 (when he competed in Zagreb, Croatia, in the World Field Archery Championships). In 2018, he shot for Team USA in for the World Field Archery Championships in Cortina, Italy. In his first year of shooting 3D (2018), he placed first in the collegiate division for New College.
