Corporate Matching Gifts
Corporate matching gifts can double or even triple your gift to New College. In addition to matching employees’ gifts, some companies also match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest.
To determine if your, or your spouse's, company will double—or even triple—your gift, please contact us or your employer.
Frequently Asked Questions about Matching Gifts
Is my gift too small to qualify for a matching gift?
Most matching gift programs do have minimum and maximum amounts they will match. Many start at the $25 level and some go as high as $40,000. Find out the particulars for your program by asking your Human Resources department or by contacting the New College Foundation at 941-487-4800. Not only can matching gifts increase your giving level to New College but this also has a significant impact on the financial contributions New College receives each year. Please bear in mind that a gift of any size is an important contribution to the College.
Will my company deduct the amount of the match from my paycheck?
Matching gifts are a free benefit for employees and won’t cost you in any way.
I matched my gift last year. Can I get my gift matched again this year?
You can have your gift matched every year, but do be aware that many companies have a deadline each year to apply for the match. Ask your Human Resources department or contact the New College Foundation for details.
I’m retired. Can I still get a matching gift?
Many companies continue to match gifts from their retired employees. If you have questions, please give your Human Resources department a call.
