President Donal O'Shea
President Donal O’Shea

I write to tell you that I intend to step down as president of New College at the end of this academic year on June 30, 2021.
It has been an enormous privilege and pleasure to have served in this role for what will soon be nine years. I am deeply grateful to all who have made that possible. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with you. I am looking forward to working with the Board of Trustees and you in the coming months as we transition to new leadership. The search for my successor will begin immediately.
Ironically, the pandemic has underscored the critical role that higher education and New College, in particular, will play in helping our region, our state and our nation rise to the challenges, opportunities and uncertainties the future will bring. Now, more than ever, our society needs New College and its graduates.
