[Newcomers] Anne Emig, New College of Florida

Moved From: Grand Rapids, Michigan My Profession There: student Friday Nights There: It depended on the season. Sometimes I’d work (babysitting mostly); usually some friends and I would go to the 24-hour diner downtown. If it was winter, I’d go ice skating at the downtown outdoor rink. In the fall, there’s a really great festival called “Art Prize” where there is art all over the city and you can see it for free and vote on your favorite pieces, so when that was going on, I’d walk around and explore.
