(January 5, 2011) — The Association of Fundraising Professionals, Southwest Florida Chapter has elected two members of the New College of Florida community to positions on its board of directors for 2011. New College alumna Laura Breeze ‘70, CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive), begins a one-year term as the group’s president in January. Dennis Stover, vice president of philanthropy at the New College Foundation, will serve a new term on the chapter’s board of directors.
Breeze has worked with gift-supported organizations as development staff leader and independent consultant for thirty years. She is currently the Advancement Director of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County.
Dennis Stover joined the New College Foundation in 2010 as vice president of philanthropy in support of the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. Donations support scholarships, faculty positions, new buildings, student and faculty research and travel, and endowments to enhance academic programs at New College.
