New College of Florida has kicked off its search for a new president. The college’s new leader will succeed President Donal O’Shea, who retires in June after a nine-year tenure. The New College board of trustees has appointed a search committee, led by chair Mary Ruiz (78), to conduct the national search for the college’s sixth president. The committee includes faculty, staff, a student representative, members of the community and alumni of the institution. The board’s goal is to bring the new president to the College during summer 2021.
