……This historical study attracted the attention of the New College-based Oral History Program, a collaboration of the New College of Florida Anthropology Department, Sarasota County Water Atlas, Sarasota County Historical Resources and the community. This program allows college students to study the discipline of oral history while engaging the community to capture and preserve memories — one person at a time.
