Gov. Rick Scott announced John Saputo has been reappointed Thursday to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees for a term ending Jan. 6, 2017. Saputo, 63, Sarasota, president and owner of Gold Coast Eagle Distributing LLP, previously served on the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce Board and as vice president of the Florida Beer Wholesalers Association. Saputo received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for more than 30 years before retiring as a colonel.
