Community healing spaces

A message from the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Ringling College of Art and Design (RCAD)—a member of the Cross College Alliance:
Right now, we are in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis and are witnessing how our nation is grappling with the murder of George Floyd and the uprising in Minneapolis. These compounding circumstances and events are impacting families and communities across the globe. Thus, through a collaborative effort between Ringling College of Art and Design, Rutgers University-Newark, and a collective of artists and educators, we have come together to offer our communities a virtual summer series centered on creating inclusive and supportive spaces, activities, workshops and dialogues focused on wellness, health and the arts as we support one another through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our collective is offering sessions on managing anxiety and fear, meditation, yoga, boxing, dialogue and discussion around social justice issues, substance abuse recovery, photography, writing, spirituality, a Loss and Grief support group, and many more to come throughout Summer 2020.
We also welcome you to share this email, flyer and information with members of your family, friends and surrounding communities in an effort to spread the words regarding Community Healing Spaces. Thank you so much for connecting. We look forward to seeing you in our Community Healing Spaces!
