Fuzion Dance Artists will offer the latest in its “Behind the Curtain” series, which offers the unusual opportunity to watch a choreographer’s creative process in action, this Saturday, with a visit from Michael Foley of Michael Foley Dance.
In the lovely wood-paneled environs of New College of Florida’s Music Room, visitors will be able to watch Foley working with Fuzion dancers on a piece that will be included in their annual March spring concert and ask questions about his choreographic process. The session begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 13 and will last approximately an hour; reservations are recommended.
Foley, currently an associate professor of dance at the University of South Florida, has been a professional dancer and choreographer for more than 20 years. A graduate of Bates College, he was the co-director of the well-respected Bates Dance Festival for 11 years.
