RogerCast! library series goes national

In March, Helene Gold (the research, instruction and information literacy librarian at New College’s Jane Bancroft Cook Library) created a weekly YouTube show called RogerCast!

The series featured interviews and updates from the Library and the Student Success Center, as well as campus contests and “silly cat (or other animal stuff).”

Gold recently wrote an article about the series, entitled Cats Keeping Us Connected: How to Create a Library YouTube Infotainment Show, for the November/December issue of Computers in Libraries (CIL) magazine. The piece will increase visibility for the series and for New College.

CIL is a national trade magazine that has been aimed at professional librarians with a focus on information technology solutions, innovations and applications for the past 40 years.
