Religion lecture with Georgetown Professor Paul Heck

“The Pursuit of Pleasure as Religious Endeavor: A Joint Jewish-Muslim-Christian Struggle,” a lecture with Paul Heck, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thurs. March 5 in Sainer Pavilion. Heck, who is a professor of Islamic studies at Georgetown University, will discuss how pleasure is not usually thought of as the object of theological reflection. However, religious thinkers—Jewish, Christian and Muslim—have long seen pleasure as the mark of a fully religious life.
