Annual Bicycle Round-Up set June 4

Campus Police, along with Physical Plant staff, will begin conducting the annual Bicycle Round-Up on Tuesday, June 4, starting at 9 a.m.

If you are a student, staff or faculty member with a bicycle on campus please do the following:

Before 7 a.m. on June 4, mark your bicycle with a hang tag (ex. paper, envelope with tie) displayed around the handle bar area with your name and telephone number; students working/staying on campus throughout the summer should utilize the Dort/Goldstein bike rack if unable to store your bike in your room for this process.

All other bikes not properly tagged in this manner and left on campus are subject to collection and impound. Failure to do so will cause any lock to be cut and the bike will be impounded. It is recommended that all students make off campus storage arrangements for any property they do not intend to take home once the semester classes are concluded.

New College will not assume responsibility for any property left behind and thus it will considered abandoned. If the bike is impounded, it is subject to sale after 30 days pursuant to Florida Statute. Within the 30 days of collection retrieval of the bike after it is impounded will subject the owner to a fine pursuant to New College of Florida Regulations.

If you have any questions, please contact Campus Police at 941-487-4210. Thank you for your cooperation and helping to keep our campus community clean.
