SUMMARY:Social Psychology Candidate Research Presentation by Tara DeLecce
DESCRIPTION:Social Psychology Candidate Research Presentation by Tara DeLecce\n \nFeb 21\, 2025 10am-11am in Bon Seigneur House Classroom\nTara DeLecce\, candidate for the tenure-track social psychology position\, will give a research presentation entitled:   Romantic Relationship Maintenance: A Social Evolutionary Perspective\nSummary:\n\nA tour of the research on romantic relationship initiation\, maintenance\, and dissolution processes using a social evolutionary perspective will be presented\, which usually focuses on different themes compared to more mainstream social science perspectives. Specifically\, sex differences significantly contribute to relationship processes\, especially the types of behaviors used to make sure one’s partner does not abandon them. However\, differences within sex as a consequence of different evolved mating strategies are underexplored. Through myriad methodologies in the future\, the role of such within-sex differences in relationship maintenance can provide both a richer knowledge base in this area and for practical applications\, including better dating technology and reduced intimate partner violence. \n \nIf you’d like to attend virtually\, the link information is below.\n\nJoin Zoom Meeting\nhttps://ncf.zoom.us/j/93556058324?pwd=8vmYfpzYHI6XjEYz1DIYQpYDQpn2V7.1
