Intercollegiate Sports Disclosure Notice for New College of Florida for FY 2020-2021, per the Higher Education Opportunity Act:  Under a 2008 amendment to the Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA), New College of Florida is required to provide information on intercollegiate sports from the prior fiscal year (FY) to the U.S. Department of Education, and to current and prospective students. Current and prospective students have the right to request a written copy of this information, and may do so by emailing NCF Fitness and Recreation Director Colin Jordan at [email protected], or by calling the Fitness Center at 941-487-4218.

Compliance Statement for NCF Athletics: New College of Florida is a member of the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA), and the college has one co-ed, varsity intercollegiate sailing team. In FY 2020-2021, the team was largely inactive, due to COVID restrictions and regatta cancellations. The team is open to all students, and is funded by student athletic fees. The New College Student Alliance (student government) allocates these fees to fund the Fitness Center, which funds the Sailing Club and sailing team. The sailing team is supervised by the Waterfront and Outdoor Recreation Coordinator, who reports to the NCF Fitness and Recreation Director. No funds were spent on athletic student aid or athletic recruiting.
