Meet the SA[u]CE team!

We are the Student Activities and Campus Engagement team:

Dani McCallaDanielle ‘Dani’ McCalla
Jamaica-made and Florida paid, Dani joined the NCF Student Affairs team in Fall 2017. Dani is passionate about assisting students in telling their own unique story and developing the whole student through intentional programming, meaningful connections with each other, and community engagement.

She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

When she is not working, you will find Dani on the beach or on an adventure with her friends.


Lesley NickelsLesley Nickels
Assistant Director
Lesley was born and raised outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, but has longed to live in Florida her entire life! She attended Ball State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interpersonal Communication Studies in 2017. She was involved in many activities during undergrad, which inspired her to pursue a career in student affairs. She started her journey south, and graduated from the University of North Carolina Greensboro in 2019 with a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education.

During her time at UNC Greensboro, she served as the Graduate Assistant for Fraternity & Sorority Life. It was here she discovered her passion for student organization development! You can often find her in her office jamming to Hamilton and Disney tunes. In her spare time, she loves to craft (especially with the Cricut) and volunteer at local dog shelters – it’s her dream to rescue greyhounds!

Jada McNeillJada McNeill
Assistant Director
Jada McNeill joined the SA[u]CE office as one of the Assistant Directors in September 2019. She graduated from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a B.A. in Psychology, and from Tennessee State University with a master’s in public health.

Jada is a Memphis, Tennessee, native that loves Harry Potter, volunteerism, live music, and brunch. Feel free to come by her office to show her any funny memes or videos!


Lisa BolducLisa Bolduc
Office Manager
Lisa is the Office Manager for Student Activities and Campus Engagement at New College of Florida. She has been a part of the Student Affairs team at New College of Florida for 18 years; Lisa has experience in the Dean’s Office, Student Disability Services, AND SA[u]CE! Her favorite part of work is interacting with students who come into the office and attend events on campus.

Lisa is a Sarasota native, she loves having her family close and enjoys spending her weekends kayaking with her husband and son.

Sarah LaptonSarah Lapton
VISTA Volunteer Coordinator
A.K.A. Slapton, Sarah is the AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer Coordinator for the 2019-2020 school year. She just got back from being a Summer VISTA in Colorado working with United Way. Sarah graduated from Florida Southern College with a B.A. in Business Administration and a minor in Marketing.

Sarah gets excited about volunteering, animals, photography, food and adventures.


Hannah Gatof

Student Assistant
A Florida native and second-year student, Hannah is happy to be here at New College studying Art and Spanish. She is a social butterfly who is always excited to meet new people, experience new things, and have a night out with friends!

Hannah is happy to be working with the SA[U]CE as a Marketing and Communications student assistant. She looks forward to assisting the department in creating a friendly and welcoming approach to outreach with her fellow students.


Gabriela ' Gaby' OttGabriela ‘ Gaby’ Ott
Diversity and Inclusive Events
Gaby is a second-year student at New College, working on an AOC in Psychology and Spanish. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and does not miss the snow at all.

Gaby is always down to talk about movies, dreams, and music! Come and chat about her programs on diversity and inclusion.

Hannah SchwallieHannah Schwallie
Tradition and Special Events

Hannah was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, then finally escaped the cold and moved to Florida to study Art and Graphic Design. She is a second-year student here at New College is in charge of coordinating the traditional events held on campus.

She loves anything involving dogs, coffee, art and adventures
