Beyond Graduation

Many of the questions we get relate to life after New College. Parents ask: “What is my student going to do with an undergraduate degree in liberal arts? Are there real-world jobs for liberal arts majors? And, is the absence of grades a deterrent to either graduate/professional school or the workplace?”

We’re here to assure you that graduates of New College of Florida can do anything they choose to – and they do. Unconventional does not mean unsuccessful. In fact, the opposite is true. The skills your student learns here – independent thinking, problem solving, teamwork, creativity, the ability to focus – are precisely the attributes that prospective employers, graduate schools and professional programs prize the most.
