Such a waiver for a Purple Heart recipient or recipient of another combat decoration superior in precedence shall be applicable for 110 percent of the number of required credit hours of the degree or certificate program for which the student is enrolled.
Waivers of out-of-state fees are available for active duty service members of the Armed Forces of the United States residing or stationed outside of Florida.

The Scholarships for Children and Spouses of Deceased or Disabled Veterans (CSDDV) provides an award to dependent children or unremarried spouses of qualified Florida veterans. Students who attend an eligible public postsecondary institution will receive funds to cover their tuition and registration fees. Students who attend an eligible private postsecondary institution will receive a fixed award amount by using the average matriculation and fee calculation for full-time attendance at a public postsecondary education institution at the comparable level.
