Whether it’s working with you one-on-one or guiding you to other writing resources, the WRC can support you as you develop your writing!
Out of class workshops can be facilitated by SWAs or other WRC staff. Common topics include: Thesis Prep, Lab Reports, APA/MLA Citation, and Thesis Crunch. If you have a suggestion for a workshop, let us know!
It’s not always about writing in the WRC! Sometimes we host events, especially during busy times in the semester, so students can take a break, relax, and get to know the SWAs. Past events include: SWAffle House, Pop-up TV show viewings, and Homemade Play-Doh
During ISP and Spring semester, we host special writing groups just for thesis students! Snacks provided!
Don’t want an appointment, but still want to write? Come write in! Feel free to use the WRC as a writing/homework space. We just ask that you don’t disturb those who are in writing conferences. Have some free coffee, relax, write!
What's a SWA? Do I need an appointment? We have the answers.
