Preparing to Reopen Campus for Fall 2020

New College is open for instruction, both face-to-face and remote. We are listening to science and are monitoring the health of our students, faculty and staff. To help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 we:

  • Testing 10% of students on campus and our faculty and staff.
  • A phased move-in to help reduce crowds
  • Students can elect to take classes remotely, even while living on-campus
  • Students living within 30 miles of campus can elect to commute and/or take classes remotely
  • Small classes, like always!
  • A shortened academic calendar
  • A commitment to providing a healthy campus environment

And now that giant classrooms make little sense in a socially-distanced society, the rest of the world is catching onto what we’ve always known: smaller is better.
