New College of Florida may be the perfect place for your group or organization to hold affordable conferences and camps during the summer months.

Located on the grounds of the former Charles Ringling estate, New College of Florida’s campus provides a breathtaking view of Sarasota Bay in addition to superb living accommodations and facilities for dining and activities.


There are three different types of rooms to choose from for your stay at a rate of only $36 a night:

Pei Residence Halls

Designed by internationally-renowned architect I.M. Pei, New College's Pei Residence Halls opened in 1965 and accommodate more than 250 students in double and triple-occupancy rooms, each with its own private bathroom.

Letter Dorms

Pritzker, Peterson, Searing, V and Y Residence Halls. The four lodge-style halls (Searing, Peterson and V and Y Letter Halls) feature studio, two and three bedroom apartments, each with its own kitchenette and bathroom.

Dort and Goldstein Residence Halls

Opened in 1998-1999, the Dallas and Elizabeth Dort and Ann and Alfred Goldstein Residence Halls provide accommodations for approximately 150 students in apartment-style suites, each including its own living room, kitchenette and bathroom facilities.

Other services:

  • Toilet paper will be provided.
  • Metz Culinary Management will prepare meals.
  • Full access to classrooms, meeting spaces and the library

Things to do:


  • Hamilton Center features a game room, vending machines, meeting rooms and Black Box Theater.
  • Palm Court and Z-green offer spacious outdoor areas to hold events or just relax.
  • Take a dip in the campus pool or take a turn on one of our swing sets.
  • Bring your game to the tennis court, basketball court and baseball field located next to the campus Fitness Center.
  • Sail equipment can be rented at the Caples Campus waterfront and sail club.


  • The Ringling Museum of Art is within walking distance.
  • Two of Sarasota’s beautiful beaches, Lido and Siesta Key, are less than 30 minutes from campus.
  • Less than 15 minutes away, St. Armand’s Circle features an array of fine boutiques and cuisine options.
- Other great places to visit include Smuggler’s Cove Adventure Golf and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
