New College of Florida is the host for many special events throughout the year involving students, faculty, staff and the community.
Some events, such as New Scholars, the Biennial New College Conference on Medieval & Renaissance Studies, and our annual Commencement celebrate scholarly achievements.
Other notable social and fundraising events, such as Clambake, draw hundreds of people from around the area to enjoy good food and entertainment while supporting the work on the College.
Funded by a Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant, New College: Connecting the Arts and Humanities on Florida’s Creative Coast seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the arts and humanities through programs at New College with the partnership of local arts organizations and the Cross College Alliance. Through the expansion of existing programs and the development of new ones, the community is invited to hear from — and speak with — scholars and artists who are renowned in their fields.Learn More
