Scholarships for Transfer Students

Scholarship funding is guaranteed for eligible admitted students who are U.S. Citizens, US Permanent Resident Aliens, international students seeking the F-1 student visa, and other eligible non-citizens who are admitted for Fall 2014. There is no separate application form for you to file.

Please complete your admission application file by May 15, 2014 for priority scholarship consideration.

A transfer student may be eligible to renew scholarship funding through the 8th semester contract. (Semester contracts assigned in transfer credit to New College do count toward the 8 semesters of scholarship eligibility.

Presidential Scholarship
Scholarship Value: $15,000 per year.

Every qualified out-of-state student enrolling in Fall 2014 and meeting the criteria listed above will be awarded a $15,000 per year Presidential Scholarship.

Transfer Scholar Award
Scholarship Value:
Florida Residents: $1,000 per year
College GPA: 3.70

Phi Theta Kappa Scholar Award
Scholarship Value:
$1,000 per year

Requirements:
Select community college students, who are members of Phi Theta Kappa and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 (or higher), will be awarded this scholarship. Completion of the AA degree is required.

All-Florida Academic Team Scholarship
Scholarship Value:
$2,000 per year

Requirement:
Awarded to members of the USA Today Community College All-Florida Academic Team.

Need-Based Financial Aid
In addition to an academic scholarship, you could qualify for even more gift assistance if you are a US Citizen, or US Permanent Resident Alien, or qualified non-resident alien. Complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov as soon as possible after January 1, 2014. (If you are applying for admission for Spring 2014, submit your 2013-14 FAFSA.) Our school code is 039574. For Maximum Aid Eligibility: complete both your admission application file and your FAFSA by May 15, 2014 for priority consideration for need-based funding.
