This innovative series is a treasure for contemporary arts enthusiasts and features outstanding musicians from the Gulf Coast and around the country. In 2008-2009, we celebrate the 10th season of New Music New College. The five-concert series includes a number of pre-concert lectures and free public workshops. The vision for New Music New College lays with its director, music professor Stephen Miles. New College Library Association ColloquiumMarch 2-4, 2009For more information call (941) 487-4600 Offered since 1993, the NCLA Colloquium is an annual in-depth study and discussion of current issues presented by the New College Library Association. The NCLA Colloquium is held over a period of three days with sessions in the morning. Richard Marcus, MD, is the moderator. The 2009 topic is “The Modern American Family under Attack.” Attendance is limited to fewer than 50 participants in order to encourage stimulating discussion. New College Foundation presents a series of seminars about significant current events and challenging issues in which active participation by the audience is encouraged. Guest speakers are experts in their fields and present thought-provoking ideas on a wide range of topics. Subjects for the 2008-2009 series will be znnounced shortly.
