Below are links to information for funding, both internal and external, to help with your research endeavors.  This is by no means a complete (or even accurate at times) list.  Sometimes things close and others start.  Your best on-campus resources are here and on the Career Services and Off Campus Studies Web. http://www.ncf.edu/CareerServices/

Need help with writing applications?  I have put together some information for you.  Go to http://www.ncf.edu/orps/funding/applicationtips.htm.

External Opportunities

If you are interested in applying for the high profile, national scholarship competitions that are listed below in yellow, please complete the NCF Registration Form and submit to Ms. Jeanne Ware by the registration due date noted on the form.

High Profile National Scholarship Competition Registration Form (doc)

VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY!

Many external opportunities exist to fund your research and, in some cases, travel.  While this office may be the contact for certain awards, scholarships and grants, the Career Resource Center can help, too.  ORPS typically handles applications that require an institutional nomination.  The following is a list of those awards with their website address.  Most of these awards (they are highlighted in yellow) require an institutional nomination and ALL of these have an EARLIER CAMPUS DEADLINE than the actual deadline listed by the organization. The scholarships are listed by CAMPUS DEADLINE and not by SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE! These applications should not be taken lightly!  Most are very intense and require a significant investment in terms of time and drafting and supplemental materials (average application will take a minimum of 40 hours to complete).  Students prepare for several months to apply to these high profile competitions.  Please check with ORPS early and often if interested in any of these opportunities.  Review the site carefully for eligibility requirements.  If after you have reviewed the criteria, you believe you are an eligible candidate, contact ORPS. If the scholarship does not require an institutional nomination but it is listed here, you may want to contact ORPS for assistance.
