Supporting our Outstanding Library

The New College Library Association was founded in 1964 to provide direct financial support to ensure the Jane Bancroft Cook Library has the intellectual resources to serve Florida’s official Honors College and Sarasota’s finest institutions of higher learning. The Library boasts a rich collection of 300,000 volumes, 540,000 microfiche serials, monographs and periodicals, and 500 electronic databases. Open to the public, the Library houses our area’s foremost collection of popular and scholarly works. The NCLA has provided more than $3 million for the purchase of books and other materials.

The NCLA hosts the annual and always popular Pique-nique sur la Baie, with all monies raised supporting the Library. For more information on Pique-nique, please visit our events page at donate.ncf.edu/events.
