| Lee Snyder Memorial Fund Please consider making a donation to the Lee Snyder Memorial Fund. The Lee Snyder Memorial Fund will honor the legacy of the late Dr. Lee Daniel Snyder, professor of medieval and Renaissance history at New College from 1969 to 2003, by supporting two of the programs to which he was most dedicated. Dr. Snyder was the founder and longtime director of the biennial New College Conference on Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and a strong supporter of New College’s rigorous, individualized educational program. Lee Snyder Student Research and Travel Grant Lee Snyder Prize The New College Conference on Medieval and Renaissance Studies, founded by Lee Snyder in 1978, covers all aspects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance and brings together scholars from all over the United States, Europe, and beyond, for three full days of panels on European and Mediterranean history, literature, art and religion from the fourth to the seventeenth centuries. The conference’s broad historical and disciplinary scope makes it particularly hospitable to interdisciplinary work, and it is internationally recognized as one of the preeminent venues for researchers working in Italian medieval and Renaissance studies.
